Location: Lewisham
Role: Part-time Care Support Worker – Complex Care Team
Pay: £15 per hour
Shifts:
- Part-time — Mondays & Wednesdays
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Description
What You’ll Do Be a member of our specialist care team to support a delightful child and help him reach his potential.
Responsibilities and Key Tasks:
- Monitor the client’s tracheostomy and perform suctioning as required
- Ensure all emergency equipment is available and inspected before use
- Provide full supervision during school time due to high activity levels and fall risk
- Support communication using Makaton and visual cues
- Assiste with feeding parent-prepared pureed meals, monitoring closely for choking or aspiration
- Offer personal care, including:
- Oversight of bowel movement monitoring
- Maintenance of calming, structured routines to meet ASD-related needs
- Prepare and maintain equipment (e.g., blue box, suction machine)
- Engage in stimulating activities to prevent boredom
- Monitor skin integrity
- Collaborate with school staff to maintain consistency and safety

Requirements
What You’ll Need:
- Experience in:
- Complex care settings
- Tracheostomy & gastrostomy care
- Administering medication
- Using suction machines
- Managing challenging behaviour in paediatrics
