The Role

Position: Care Assistant (Casual/Bank Worker) Pay: £13.71 per hour Location: Bradbury House, Wasdale Rd, Gosforth, Seascale CA20 1AU Shift Patterns: Day shifts (8am – 8pm) or night shifts (8pm – 8am), weekdays and weekends. You may choose whether to accept shifts offered.

Key Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant – a casual/bank worker role – you’ll:

  • Work flexibly when shifts are available, choosing to accept or decline work as needed.
  • Deliver frontline care by assisting residents with:
    • Personal care (washing, dressing, mobility).
    • Medical needs and social engagement.
    • Support during illness or vulnerable periods.
  • Build meaningful rapport with residents, ensuring dignity, independence, and emotional support.
  • Contribute to individual care plans, considering each resident’s unique needs and preferences.
  • Help residents feel at home through consistent, respectful, and compassionate care.

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive pay: £13.71/hour, aligned with our permanent care roles after a benchmark review.
  • Leave entitlement: Accrual at a rate equivalent to 31 days paid leave per year (336 hours), inclusive of public/bank holidays—if you work proportionate hours.
  • Training: Full mandatory induction and refresher training is provided for every role to ensure you’re equipped for exceptional care.

  • Must have right to work in the UK.
  • Must provide two satisfactory employment references.
