Care Assistant – Care Delivery (Contract) – Brentwood & Billericay
Job Overview
Location: Brentwood, Billericay, Ingatestone, Ongar, West Horndon, Shenfield, Woodford Contract Type: Care Delivery Salary: £15.50 - £19.75 per hour (£15.50 weekday, £16.50 weekends, £19.75 bank holidays)
Hourly Rate Structure:
- Weekday shifts: £15.50/hour
- Weekend shifts: £16.50/hour
- Bank holidays: £19.75/hour
Note: Applicants must own their own car and hold a full UK driving licence.

What the Role Involves
As a Carer with Bluebird Care, your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering a high standard of personalised care to meet each customer’s unique needs
- Assisting with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, mobility support)
- Supporting with hydration, nutrition and light meal preparation
- Prompting and safely administering medications where required
- Providing light domestic support (tidy-up, laundry, and cleaning)
- Building positive, familiar relationships—helping customers feel safe and valued

You’ll work independently or as part of a team, whether bell-and-book visits, live-in care, or patients in their own homes.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Right to work in the UK
- Kind, compassionate approach—calmness, patience, and empathy are core
- Excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport
- Ability to follow care plans accurately
- (No prior experience necessary! Full training provided.)
Beneficial (but not essential): Care, healthcare, or social roles (e.g., care assistant, support worker, family carer).
