Care Assistant - Halliwell Care Home

CQC Rating: Good

Location: Kingswood Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent TN2 4UN

Hourly Rate: £13.78–£14.20

Contract: Full-time Permanent (36.75 hours per week)

Shifts: Weekday and weekend availability required

About the Role

Join Elizabeth Finn, a leading care provider, in delivering exceptional support to residents through a role as a Compassionate Care Assistant. Working closely with clinical and senior teams, you’ll ensure dignity, independence, and meaningful engagement in a safe and nurturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver personal care in line with care plans and procedures, ensuring accurate documentation of all tasks.
  • Promptly report changes, concerns, incidents, or complaints to senior staff.
  • Support residents with social activities, routines and meaningful engagement.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and secure environment, including proper equipment use/storage.
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with all company policies.
  • Take responsibility for ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum: Secondary school education with solid numeracy and literacy.
  • Communication: Ability to articulate clearly in English.
  • Qualification: Level 2 in Care (or commitment to obtaining it).
  • Experience: Preference for those with care experience, particularly supporting the elderly.
  • Background Knowledge: Familiarity with Care Worker’s Codes of Practice.
