About the Role
As a Care Assistant at Barchester Care Home, you’ll make a genuine difference to residents’ lives every day.
You’ll support them in embracing their day with care, assistance, and companionship, sharing meaningful times and moments together. No two days will ever be the same—each offering a chance to put your compassion and skills to meaningful use while developing your career in a fulfilling environment.
Your responsibilities could include:
- Providing personal support with daily activities, food and drink assistance, and medication management
- Delivering one-to-one companionship tailored to each resident’s needs and care plans
- Creating engaging activities to strengthen connections and ensure mental and emotional well-being

About You
To thrive as a Care Assistant, you’ll bring:
- Demonstrable experience in caring for older adults
- A practical, can-do attitude towards supporting residents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Empathy and warmth—the ability to connect genuinely with residents
- Compassion as a core trait, ensuring every resident receives the highest standard of care
