Healthcare Assistant – Complex Care (Church Brampton, Northampton)
Location: Church Brampton, Northampton Hourly Rate: £15.20 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay) Shift Availability: Day (10:00–18:00) or Night (20:00–08:00)
About the Role
At Harmony Healthcare, we believe exceptional care is delivered by exceptional people. We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistant to support a loving, young boy with complex needs in Northampton as he lives at home with his family and pet cat.
This is a meaningful 1:1 role where you will directly contribute to the client’s ability to live safely, confidently, and with dignity in their own environment.
About the Client
Our client is an energetic young person who enjoys watching films and socialising in the park. They thrive on structured routines, emotional reassurance, and consistent support at home and within the community. A calm, patient, and independently confident carer will excel in this role.
Clinical Requirements
Your responsibilities will include support for clinical tasks outlined on the client’s care plan, which may cover:
- Seizure management
- Jejunostomy care
- Personal care (daily hygiene and mobility support)
- Moving and handling (safe identification of appropriate techniques)
All required training and competency sign-offs will be provided by Harmony’s Clinical Team, so prior expertise is not mandatory to apply.
Your Responsibilities
As a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in this role, you will:
- Deliver rapid, person-centred 1:1 support tailored to the client’s personalised needs.
- Facilitate community access and engage with local and social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Support independence and dignity in daily care—valuing your client’s autonomy.
- Provide emotional reassurance and well-being support as part of a holistic approach.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with the Harmony Healthcare team, including clinical and coordination staff.

- Confidence in managing clinical tasks (or a strong willingness to undertake specialist training).
- Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.

- Professional independence, adaptability, and commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Compliance Requirements
All successful applicants will be required to:
- Undergo enhanced DBS checks.
- Provide reference checks and proof of Right to Work status.
- Complete CQC/Schedule 3-compliant onboarding procedures as part of adherence to UK regulating standards.
