About the Care Assistant Role
At Ruby Lodge, our Care Assistants play a pivotal role in enhancing residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting residents with daily personal and medical care
- Supporting their emotional & social well-being through one-to-one interactions
- Providing mealtime support and ensuring meals are enjoyable
- Contributing to their personalised care plans to meet their evolving needs
About You (What We’re Looking For)
You’ll thrive if you’re:
- Committed to work long shifts with minimal related complaints
- Confident in verbal and written communication (basic skills are minimum, but aspiration matters!)
- Passionate about engaging with residents and families with warmth and empathy
- **Understanding of Dementia-care (the heart of our work)
- Preferred (but not essential): With experience as a Care Assistant or similar (e.g. NHS Support Worker)
- Preferred qualification (but open to upskill): NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
