Care Assistant (Days)

Day Care Assistant

Location: Chorley, Lancashire

Service: Astley View Care Home

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Details

  • Pay: £13.45 per hour + overtime at £14.95 per hour
  • Hours: 38.5 hours per week Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Shifts: 8am – 8pm (two-week rolling rota)

About the Role

Evermore Care is seeking compassionate Care Assistants (Days) to join our team at Astley View, a state-of-the-art, luxury care home in Chorley. This purpose-built facility provides exceptional, person-centred care to elderly residents within a modern and supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional personal care including hygiene, dressing, feeding, and assistance with toileting
  • Support with light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, bed linen changes)
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues while maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver the highest standard of person-centred care

Experience & Requirements

  • Experience (either formal or personal) in adult social care is preferred but not always essential for motivated candidates
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Strong understanding of duty of confidentiality and respect for individual boundaries
