Part-time (38.5 avg. hrs/week), Birmingham B26 – Country Court Care Location: Heartlands Nursing Home, Birmingham, B26 Shift Pattern: Days/Nights + weekends (rota basis)

About the Care Assistant Role
You’ll play a vital role in:
- Providing personal care and support to residents (bathing, dressing, mobility, etc.)
- Assisting with emotional well-being and social engagement (e.g., birthday celebrations, hobbies, conversations)
- Supporting residents during mealtimes and ensuring their nutrition needs are met
- Building genuine relationships with residents to enhance their quality of life
- Contributing to the maintenance of residents’ care plans, ensuring their individual needs are consistently met
Requirements & Criteria
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekend rotations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to connect empathetically with residents and their families
- Basic understanding of dementia and its care needs (essential)
- Experience as a Care Assistant is preferred, but not mandatory
- A Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care is required (or a commitment to obtaining it)
