Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
(7am-3pm and 2pm-10pm)
Salary: £25,506 + bonuses
Full Drivers Licence required

At Litslade Farm, our registered care home in the heart of Newton Longville, we support a small group of adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live independently and confidently. We are looking for compassionate Care Assistants to join our friendly, inclusive, and supportive team.
This is a truly varied and rewarding role supporting eight individuals aged between 25 and 68. While the role can be challenging at times, it is equally fulfilling - with plenty of opportunities to plan activities, enjoy days out, and create meaningful experiences. No two days are ever the same.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to live safe, fulfilling, and independent lives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred care and support
- Supporting with personal care and daily routines
- Assisting with complex health needs, including PEG feeding, insulin administration, and catheter care (full training provided)
- Supporting individuals who may display behaviours that challenge in a calm and positive manner
- Communicating effectively with individuals who may be non-verbal, adapting your approach to meet their needs
- Supporting with mealtimes, appointments, and overall wellbeing
- Encouraging independence through daily activities such as cooking, shopping, and household tasks
- Planning and participating in activities, outings, and social experiences
- Following personalised support plans to help each individual achieve their goals

What We Are Looking For
We Are Seeking Someone Who Is
- Naturally caring, patient, and motivated to make a difference
- A confident communicator with strong verbal and written skills
- Able to adapt to different needs, including non-verbal communication
- Resilient, proactive, and positive in their approach
- A team player who values inclusion, dignity, and respect
- Flexible and reliable, able to work shifts (7am-3pm and 2pm-10pm), including weekends and bank holidays
- Ideally experienced in a similar care or support role
- A background in nursing or clinical care would be highly valued, offering a great opportunity to apply and further develop your clinical skills within a supportive, person-centred environment - however, this is not essential
