About the Role

At our home, you’ll be a key person responsible for helping us achieve an excellent standard of care for our residents. You’ll be an integral part of our care team, promoting the values and ethos of our home.

As a Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in our close-knit care team, ensuring our residents receive exceptional care and support. You’ll help them with their daily routines, promote independence, and prioritise their overall health and happiness every day.

What You’ll Do

  • Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines (e.g., dressing) while encouraging positive choices and maximum independence.

  • Personalised Care: Follow and support each resident’s personalised care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their needs.

  • Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents’ health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.

  • Champion Dignity: Uphold dignity and respect for all residents, ensuring they feel valued and cared for.

  • Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and staff, fostering a warm and welcoming environment.

  • Safety and Comfort: Collaborate with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond promptly to emergencies or call bells.

  • Nutritional Support: Assist residents needing help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.

About You

Requirements

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred.
  • Experience: Ideally, you have at least 6 months’ experience as a Care Assistant.
