About the Role

This position is based at West Wood Care Home, Sheringham.

As a Care Assistant, your role involves delivering high standards of personal care, ensuring continuity of services to residents and contributing fully to the care team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting residents with personal hygiene, promoting independence, dignity, and respect at all times.
  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas—such as weight loss, pressure sores, fall risks, infection signs—for timely escalation.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, upholding their dignity and individuality.
  • Following safe systems of work for all tasks.

About You

No prior experience is required—we pride ourselves on providing a thorough induction and training programme to build your confidence.

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Show initiative, being respectful towards residents and staff.
  • Be efficient, following clear instructions from team members.
  • Adapt flexibly to short-notice shifts and varying responsibilities.
