Care Assistant – Nights Position at White Lodge Residential Home
About the Organisation
South Coast Nursing Homes is a family-owned provider of care across East and West Sussex, committed to delivering high standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With nine registered homes, the business prioritises both excellent resident care and career growth for its staff. The Role: Care Assistant (Nights)
Location
White Lodge Residential Home, East Preston
Hours
36 hours per week, with an alternating weekly rotation:
- Week 1: Wednesday (8pm–8am), Saturday (8pm–8am), Sunday (8pm–8am)
- Week 2: Tuesday (8pm–8am), Wednesday (8pm–8am), Sunday (8pm–8am)
Responsibilities
As a Care Assistant, your role will involve:
- Providing high-quality personal care, social interaction, and stimulation to residents;
- Promoting independence, enabling residents further and providing necessary support;
- Ensuring electronic records (resident interactions) are accurately logged on the system;
- Serving meals and drinks to residents while fostering an inclusive dining experience;
- Building relationships with relatives to support personalized care based on their needs;

Minimum Requirements
Whilst Healthcare experience is preferred, we will conduct thorough training to ensure your success. Ideally:

Package & Benefits
- Hourly rate:
- Weekdays: £12.84 (36h/week)
- Weekends: £13.48 (36h/week) (rising to £13.14 weekdays & £13.80 weekends post-probation)
