Role Description

The Care Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in the London Area, United Kingdom. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care and practical support to residents
  • Assisting with mobility and manual handling
  • Helping individuals with daily living activities such as washing, dressing, and meal support

The Care Assistant will observe and report changes in residents’ wellbeing, follow care plans, and work closely with colleagues to maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment. The role also involves:

Care Assistants are expected to adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies at all times.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Candidates should possess caregiving experience and dementia care skills to provide person-centered support to individuals with varying needs.
  • Candidates should possess manual handling skills and an understanding of safe mobility assistance to ensure resident and self safety.
  • Candidates should possess reliability, empathy, and a respectful approach to care, with the ability to follow instructions and care plans.
  • Relevant care certifications, training in health and social care, or prior experience in residential or domiciliary care settings are beneficial.
  • Basic IT and record-keeping skills, along with eligibility to work in the United Kingdom and satisfactory background checks, are required.
