Care Assistant – Domiciliary

💷 Pay: £14.60 per hour (weekday rate) £15.00 per hour (weekend rate) £29.20 per hour (bank holiday rate)

⏰ Hours: Full-time & part-time available (contracted up to 30 hours) Note: Currently only open to female carers

About the Role

We are recruiting both part-time and full-time care workers with flexible hours (up to 30 hours per week). We are particularly in need of team members to fill early morning (7am–9am), evening (7pm–10pm), and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities of a Care Assistant / Care Worker

  • Deliver personal care support (bathing, toileting, dressing)
  • Administer medications safely according to guidance
  • Provide companionship, emotional support and promote wellbeing
  • Assist with meal prep, feeding & dietary needs
  • Support mobility, transfers (toilets/beds/chairs/wheelchairs)
  • Help maintain light housekeeping and ensure safe living environments
  • Keep accurate care records & daily observations

Requirements for the Role

  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
  • Business insurance (for your vehicle) required
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Caring, compassionate & reliable personality
  • Strong communication skills & ability to build rapport
  • Willingness to work independently + as part of a team
  • Flexible availability for shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays)
  • Previous care/support experience (helpful but not required) – full training provided

This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, meaning all convictions, cautions, and bind-overs – including those considered “spent” – must be disclosed. A DBS Enhanced Criminal Record Check will be mandatory upon appointment.
