Location: Newark & Sherwood Contract type: Care Delivery Salary: £13.55 – £28.10 per hour (plus paid travel time & mileage)

Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant at Bluebird Care, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality, personalised care aligned with each person’s needs
  • Assisting with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
  • Supporting meal preparation and nutrition to meet dietary requirements
  • Managing medication, prescriptions, and safe disposal in compliance with care plans
  • Performing light household tasks (tidying, laundry, cleaning)
  • Building trusting, meaningful relationships with customers to provide consistent, reassuring support

Requirements

We’re looking for individuals who bring heart, skill, and commitment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A full UK driving license and reliable transport (essential for reaching customers)
  • A warm, patient, and compassionate nature, with a reassuring demeanour
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapid positive relationships
  • The capacity to follow detailed care plans with attention to safety and protocol
  • (Previous care experience is preferred but not essential—all candidates receive full training)
