About the Role
Awarded “One of the UK’s Best Companies to Work For”, Heathland House is a luxurious 66-bed residential and dementia care home in Ferndown, Dorset. We are seeking passionate, dependable, and enthusiastic care assistants to join our team, supporting our residents with care, dignity, and respect.

Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience in care (preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualifications (or a willingness to attend)

Key Responsibilities
- Delivering personalised, high-quality care to adults (including dementia patients)
- Assisting residents with daily living tasks (e.g., hygiene, mobility, meals)
- Monitoring and reporting health and well-being changes
- Promoting dignity, independence, and individual preferences in care
- Supporting day-to-day home operations, including teamwork and adherence to protocols

Person Specification & Requirements

Health: Physically and medically able to perform duties (with or without support tools where needed)

Experience & Training:
- NVQ Level 2 in Care (or equivalent) (or commitment to undertake training)
- Clear understanding of dementia care principles

Personality & Skills:
- Team player with strong dedication
- Proactive, adaptive, and solution-focused
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Clear, empathetic communication in verbal and written formats
