Care Assistant / Senior Care Assistant – Days or Nights
Location: Malton, North Yorkshire YO17
Pay: £13.95–£15.95 per hour, depending on role and shift
Hours: 22, 33 or 44 hours per week
Job Type: Permanent
Shifts: Days or Nights | 8:00 AM–8:00 PM / 8:00 PM–8:00 AM
We are recruiting Care Assistants / Care Practitioners and Senior Care Assistants to join a growing care service in Malton. Both day and night contracts are available.
Available Roles
Care Assistant / Care Practitioner
- Pay: £13.95–£14.95 per hour
- Hours: 22, 33 or 44 hours per week
- Experience: Previous care experience is desirable
Senior Care Assistant
- Pay: £14.95–£15.95 per hour
- Hours: 44 hours per week
- Experience: Day and night positions available; previous senior care experience required
Responsibilities
Depending on the position, duties may include:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred care
- Supporting residents with personal care, mobility, meals and daily routines
- Monitoring residents' health and wellbeing
- Completing accurate care records and handovers
- Responding to residents' needs and changes in condition
- Supporting a safe, respectful and positive care environment

Senior Care Assistants will also:
- Lead and support the care team during shifts
- Administer medication safely
- Mentor and guide Care Assistants
- Liaise with management and healthcare professionals when required
Requirements
- Compassionate, reliable and professional approach
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts
- Able to work alternate weekends
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Previous care experience desirable for Care Assistant positions
- Previous Senior Care Assistant experience required for senior roles
- Medication administration experience preferred for senior positions
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or working towards it, preferred for Senior Care Assistants
