Rotherwood Cares is recruiting experienced Care Assistants to join our agency team, supporting a well-established Extra Care Housing service in Burnley.

Whether you're looking to top up your current income, work around other commitments or choose shifts that suit your schedule, we'd love to hear from you.

About The Role

You'll be supporting adults living independently within their own apartments, helping them maintain their independence while providing high-quality, person-centred care.

No two shifts are the same, and you'll become part of a friendly and supportive care team dedicated to delivering outstanding care.

Your Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care with dignity and respect.
  • Assisting with washing, dressing and personal hygiene.
  • Supporting residents with mobility and safe moving and handling.
  • Encouraging independence and promoting choice.
  • Assisting with meals, hydration and nutrition.
  • Providing companionship and emotional support.
  • Monitoring residents' wellbeing and reporting any concerns.
  • Completing accurate care records and documentation.
  • Following safeguarding, infection control and health & safety procedures.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider care team to deliver exceptional care.

Shift Patterns

We have a variety of flexible shifts available, including:

  • Day shifts
  • Night shifts
  • Weekday shifts
  • Weekend shifts

Work as little or as often as you like.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working as a Care Assistant, Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant.
  • A caring, compassionate and reliable approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to delivering person-centred care.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Up-to-date mandatory training or willingness to complete this.
  • A positive attitude and passion for supporting others.
