Care and Support Worker – Bournemouth Area

Location: Altogether Care (Christchurch), Bournemouth Salary: £13.80 to £14.30 per hour Contract: Permanent Starting Date: Immediate (with enhanced DBS required)

Altogether Care, a family-run provider established in 1988, is seeking compassionate and reliable candidates to join its team in Christchurch, Bournemouth. Key Responsibilities

As a Care and Support Worker, your role will include:

  • Supporting individuals at home to live as independently as possible
  • Providing personal, physical, and emotional care to clients of all ages
  • Assisting with daily tasks, including hygiene, nutrition, and mobility support
  • Empowering clients to make their own choices about their care journey
  • Building trust-based relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Recording care plans using digital platforms to ensure high-quality, integrated support
  • Adhering to Altogether Care’s ethical values and best practice in every interaction

Essential Travel Requirement:

  • Essential: Must hold a full UK Driver’s Licence and have access to your own vehicle (broad coverage of the Bournemouth/Christchurch area requested).

Skills & Criteria

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Access to your own reliable vehicle for travelling across the Bournemouth/Christchurch area
  • Enthusiasm for making a difference in daily care work
  • Strong communication skills and patience for client rela

Desired Attributes

  • Previous experience in social care, healthcare, or similar environment (not mandatory)
  • First aid training
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly, often outside normal business hours
