CARE ASSISTANT

Care Assistant – Night Shifts

Location: Outram Fields, Bradway, Sheffield, UK ** Salary:** £12.75 per hour, plus company benefits

We are seeking enthusiastic, passionate and reliable Care Assistants to join our close-knit team in Sheffield. The role involves supporting our residential and dementia residents on our busy night shifts, operating under a rolling rota.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing outstanding night shift care (8pm – 8am)
  • Working alternate weekend shifts
  • Ensuring choice, individuality and independence for all residents
  • Supporting within the framework of our Home’s dementia-friendly community
  • Assisting with personal tasks and health needs
  • Validating, evidencing and monitoring care plans

Qualifications & Requirements

We are looking for experienced carers, with experience in residential and dementia care preferred. An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in care is ideal—though willingness to participate in training is welcome.

✔ Physically fit and able to carry out duties with or without relevant assistive aids ✔ Team player, self-motivated, proactive, flexible, and adaptable ✔ Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks under pressure ✔ Excellent verbal and written communication
