Company Description
We’re looking for kind, reliable Care Assistants to support older adults across New Romney and surrounding areas.
You’ll be required to work Mornings (07:00-14:00) and/or Evenings (16:00-21:00) and alternate Weekends.
If you have a caring heart and a friendly smile, you can make someone’s day — from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.
At Home Instead, we focus on quality care, offering both companionship and personal support so clients can live safely, comfortably and with dignity.
Job Description
Care as it should be — unhurried, personal, rewarding!
At Home Instead, we give you the time to make a difference. Our visits are at least an hour long, so you can focus on what matters — helping someone feel safe, comfortable and valued.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be supporting older adults with things like:
- Personal care and mobility
- Preparing meals and hot drinks
- Light household tasks to keep their home safe and comfortable
- Companionship, conversation and a friendly face
Some visits may include more personal health-related support — we provide full paid training for all of this, so no experience or medical background is needed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
