Care Assistant – Office-Based (Talbot Court Estate, Bridgnorth)

About the Role

Join McCarthy & Stone as a Care Assistant at our Talbot Court estate in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Our modern, centralised environment means you’ll support residents in one location, with no travel required.

In this rewarding part-time role, you’ll help residents enjoy life to the fullest through personalised care and engaging activities.


Position Details

  • Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible discussion with the manager)
  • Pay:
    • Starting at £13.26 per hour
    • Enhanced rates up to £14.56 for shifts on weekends/evenings
  • Location: Commute-based (within reason to Bridgnorth)

Role Highlights

As a Care Assistant, your work will be diverse and impactful every day:

  • Support residents in maintaining independence and actively engaging in their community.
  • Assist with light domestic duties (e.g., laundry, tidying).
  • Plan & coordinate resident activities (games, trips, outings).
  • Help arrange appointments (doctors, hairdressers, etc.).
  • Feed residents’ shopping lists and organise errands.

About You

  • Experience & Qualifications:

    • Minimum 1 year in a UK health/social care role (preferred).
    • A Level 2 QCF qualification in Adult Care (asset but not mandatory).
    • Unslected, you’re a naturally warm and compassionate person.
  • Skills & Mindset:

    • Inspired by making a positive difference in others’ lives.
    • Enjoy working in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
    • Truly people-focused—you thrive when supporting older adults.
  • Location:

    • Must be within commutable distance to Talbot Court, Bridgnorth.
