Care Assistant – Office-Based (Talbot Court Estate, Bridgnorth)

About the Role
Join McCarthy & Stone as a Care Assistant at our Talbot Court estate in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Our modern, centralised environment means you’ll support residents in one location, with no travel required.
In this rewarding part-time role, you’ll help residents enjoy life to the fullest through personalised care and engaging activities.
Position Details
- Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible discussion with the manager)
- Pay:
- Starting at £13.26 per hour
- Enhanced rates up to £14.56 for shifts on weekends/evenings
- Location: Commute-based (within reason to Bridgnorth)

Role Highlights
As a Care Assistant, your work will be diverse and impactful every day:
- Support residents in maintaining independence and actively engaging in their community.
- Assist with light domestic duties (e.g., laundry, tidying).
- Plan & coordinate resident activities (games, trips, outings).
- Help arrange appointments (doctors, hairdressers, etc.).
- Feed residents’ shopping lists and organise errands.

About You

Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year in a UK health/social care role (preferred).
- A Level 2 QCF qualification in Adult Care (asset but not mandatory).
- Unslected, you’re a naturally warm and compassionate person.
