We’re recruiting Care Assistants (drivers, full-time) to support people living in their own homes across Sheffield S12 & S20, helping them to live independently with dignity, choice and compassion. Where You’ll Work You will be part of our dedicated home care team covering: S12: Birley, Frechville, Hackenthorpe S20: Halfway, Mosborough, Westfield, Waterthorpe, Owlthorpe, Beighton, Sothall You must have a valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. As a Care Worker with Be Caring, you’ll have: Work that reflects our values: Be Kind, Be Proud, Be the Best You Can Be, Be Safe, Be Happy, Be Involved Block pay – paid for your whole shift, not pay-per-call Full training, stable hours and a role you can genuinely be proud of A chance to make a real difference in the communities you live and work in Pay, Hours & Shift Pattern We pay in Blocks (shifts) – from your first visit to your last (not pay per call). £13.30 per hour (drivers) 50p per mile mileage Full-time contracted hours Block pay: paid continuously across the shift, not per visit Shift patterns: Early shift: 7:00am – 1:00pm Late shift: 3:00pm – 10:00pm You’ll work a fixed 2-week rota, which will include: Alternate full weekends, or Every Saturday, or Every Sunday Evenings agreed within your working hours Essential: You must be available for early mornings, evenings and regular weekend working. What You’ll Be Doing As a Home Care Assistant, you’ll support people in their own homes to: Live independently and confidently Stay safe, respected and well-cared for Stay connected with family, friends and their community Achieve personal, meaningful outcomes Your day may include: Helping with washing, dressing and personal care Supporting with medication, meals and hydration Providing companionship and emotional support Supporting people to get out, attend appointments, or stay connected locally Recording and sharing important information with families and professionals Every visit is an opportunity to make someone’s day a little brighter. No Experience? No Problem – Full Training Provided Whether you are new to care or returning after supporting someone close to you, we’ll give you all the training you need to succeed. Your paid induction includes: 1 week classroom-based training (Mon–Fri) 2 days shadowing experienced colleagues Additional online learning modules You’ll also receive training in areas such as: Be Caring values & “Above & Beyond” care Dignity, respect, safeguarding, equality & diversity Confidentiality & professional boundaries Fluids, nutrition & safe administration of medication Moving & positioning, basic life support, pressure care Infection prevention & control, health & safety Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health & capacity We also offer fully funded qualifications, including Level 2 Health & Social Care and other accredited courses.
