About The Role

Key About the Role

A 32-year-old disabled wheelchair user (Marks Tey, Essex) seeks a **highly capable, experienced, and emotionally resilient Lead Personal Assistant (PA) / Care Coordinator to provide:

  • Practical support
  • Complex administrative assistance
  • Advocacy & coordination within a small personal support team

This is NOT a standard care job. It demands:

  • Intelligence, strong organisation, proactivity
  • Significant experience in supporting people with:
    • Complex disabilities
    • Neurodivergence (autism, ADHD)
    • Trauma & chronic health conditions (fibromyalgia, hidradenitis suppurativa, autoimmunity)

Key Responsibilities

Quality of Life & Personal Assurance

  • Toileting & bathing (including safe transfers)
  • Household meal support: Cooking, eating, stomach tasks
  • Medical adherence - Medication reminders/administration
  • Co-ordinated household apps: Light maintenance
  • Hospital/escalation visits for complex appointments
  • Pet care (both local care, medical)

Sibling & Wider Social Integration

  • Transport to/from child support, training, or social activities (to places in both ballrooms from extended falls or parked-Camp)
  • Individualised encouragement: Speeding communication (friendships/indieratures)

Advocacy & Co-ordination

  • Managing Better Care and Quality Enhancement correspondence
  • Handling Essex County Council OG systems and translating complex emails
  • Advocacy for Benefit Processing, PIP Applications, ESA and UC support

Monetary & Household Governance

  • Financial advise with budgeting
  • Record-keeping
  • Self-considerate series to suggest drawbacks decisions

Draw on draft data and administrative expertise without customisation

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

Post 18 already has an Ю serviece moving-and-handacia certification and compulsory first aid certificate
