Care Co-ordinator – Nursing Home (Dementia Specialists) [Manchester, Partington]

A key position working for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers in a dedicated dementia nursing home—a caring team-focused role with exceptional benefits.


About the Role

This specialist nursing home has been purpose-built to meet the unique needs of residents living with dementia. As the Care Co-ordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in safeguarding resident welfare, ensuring quality care, and supporting your team in a compassionate community-based setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team-driven care approach to support residents’ independence while maintaining their dignity.
  • Maintain high-quality, consistent care services, ensuring residents’ needs—physical, emotional, and daily living—are met.
  • Assist in managing the physical and social environment of the home, including daily activities and resident engagement.
  • Act in the manager’s absence to coordinate operations, oversee staff wellbeing, and ensure resident security.
  • Administrative duties:
    • Organise your own shifts and document care activities via the computerised residents’ care plans.
    • Administer and record medication management ( aga the Care Quality Commission guidelines).
    • Liaise with healthcare professionals and external services as needed.
  • Support staff and resident requests:
    • Induct, train, and supervise support staff, fostering a strong team culture.
    • Assess and utilise mobility aids and assistive equipment for residents with limited mobility, physical or learning difficulties.

Qualifications & Requirements

To apply, you must have:

  • N/VQ or QCF Level 3 or 4 qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience or previous training in caring for people with dementia.

  • Proven experience supervising care teams.
  • Demonstrates strong empathy and patient-centred thinking, having understood the unique challenges faced by residents with dementia.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal communication skills, essential for both resident care and staff coordination.

Salary & Benefits

This is a full-time, permanent day role (part-time enquiries welcome to discuss).

  • Hourly wage: GBP14.45 per hour.
