Care Assistant – Oldham
Location: Oldham Contract Type: Care Delivery Salary: £14.00 – £18.00 per hour
About the Role
At Bluebird Care, we pride ourselves on delivering expert care to empower our customers to live with dignity in their own homes. We’re seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team and help us raise the bar for home care, one compassionate interaction at a time.

Starting from £14ph, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting some of Oldham’s most vulnerable individuals by offering personalised and high-quality care.
Responsibilities
As a Care Assistant, you’ll provide holistic support in every aspect of daily life, including:
- Delivering individualised care tailored to each person’s needs
- Assisting with personal care including:
- Bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support with mobility and basic activities
- Preparing and serving nutritious meals as required
- Administering medication (where trained) and assisting with prescriptions
- Ensuring safe medication disposal
- Undertaking light domestic tasks (e.g. tidying, laundry, general cleaning)
- Building positive, trusting relationships with customers

Requirements
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- A compassionate attitude – you care deeply about others’
- Calm and professional approach to care needs
- Excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport
- The ability to follow care plans and adapt to individual needs
- Prior care experience is beneficial but not essential – all training provided
A DBS check and references will be required as part of our safeguarding commitments.
