About South Coast Nursing Homes

South Coast Nursing Homes is a successful, family-owned and managed care home company based in Worthing, West Sussex. We operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex, providing care in 414 beds for both long- and short-term residents.

One of these is Blatchington Manor, a purpose-built specialist dementia residential care home in Seaford, East Sussex (opened in 2018). The home is designed to deliver high-quality, dedicated care for residents living with memory loss—including Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

The Home Manager will lead operations as the Registered Manager, working closely with the management team to ensure the highest standards in:

  • Relationship-centred care
  • Clinical compliance
  • Hospitality services
  • Business performance

  • Leadership & Team Management

    • Inspire and empower the team to drive positive outcomes.
    • Supervise, appraise, and manage performance, supporting staff to achieve their potential.
    • Ensure alignment with South Coast Nursing Homes’ ethos and foster evidence-based practice.
  • Stakeholder Communication

    • Maintain regular engagement with residents, relatives, external professionals, and Directors.
  • Financial & Operational Oversight

    • Manage financial budgets to meet revenue and income targets.

Person Specification

We’re looking for an experienced dementia specialist with: ✔ Expertise in best practices and innovation in dementia care. ✔ Qualifications of either:

  • Adult RGN/RMN with managerial experience, or
  • Experienced Manager with NVQ Level 5 or above. ✔ A natural ability to lead, inspire, and command respect—acting as a role model for South Coast Nursing Homes' leadership behaviours. ✔ Ability to think quickly and manage pressure when handling multiple priorities. ✔ Exceptional communication skills to engage at all levels (staff to Directors). ✔ A problem-solving mindset and a synergy for delivering solutions. ✔ A compassionate affinity for caring for others—this is at the heart of our business.

What We Offer

  • Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 (depending on experience).
  • Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays.
