About the Company
Acquire Care are recruiting for a Care Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will effectively and efficiently manage the delivery of high quality care services across Oxford.
Purpose of Position
To maintain and improve the successful day-to-day running of the Company, the staff, the clients/service users as well as assisting with the policies and procedures connected to the business.
As this role is based in the office and community supporting clients/service users and staff, it is not possible to do this job from your own home.
Main Functions of the Role / Principle Responsibilities
- To provide leadership of the administration, care and day-to-day running of the company.
- To improve care and management skills to above the current level whilst undertaking such training as may from time-to-time be necessary or required to maintain the desired higher level.
- To manage the services within the Company in accordance with standards agreed.
- To ensure that all communications are logged in the appropriate communications records.
- To ensure the supervision of staff so that all care plans are completed correctly and promptly to a high standard. Care Plans are to be kept up-to-date and reviewed frequently.
- To be involved in the implementation and maintenance of the Company’s quality assurance programme.
- Participate in on-call duties.
- Oversee each individual staff member’s Contract of Employment and training schedules.
- Oversee that all forms required by the Council such as MAR forms are completed when necessary and accurate.
- To ensure that the training of staff is up to date and correct with all paperwork/information renewed when necessary.
- Oversee to ensure that clients/service users receive assessments, care plans reviews and checks whenever necessary.
- Assisting with the Management of the Company’s files eg safeguarding, complaints etc, with analysis of lessons learnt for the monthly management meetings.
- Assisting with the Management of the monthly auditing processes and following up on the outcomes/findings.
- Manage and oversee the recruitment, training, scheduling and HR Departments.

- To perform regular departmental meetings to ensure the smooth running of the Company.
- To be discrete and very diplomatic as well as have plenty of patience plus having a compassionate nature.

Essential Criteria
- Have full use of a car, (MOT and taxed) and a full driving licence plus car insurance that covers for business purposes.
- Experience of domiciliary care services.
- Experience of building positive working relationships with people and their families who use home care services, care staff and any health or social care professionals.
- Good customer skills.
- Have good administrative skills and computer literacy particularly Microsoft Office software.
- Experience of managing and developing an effective team of staff including training, scheduling, writing care plans as well as supporting and supervising staff.
- Knowledge of how to recognise different types of abuse and how to deal with them.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of delivering domiciliary care services.
- Some experience of financial management.
- Knowledge of business management.
- Experience of recruitment.
- Able to investigate complaints and concerns referred by other staff members and take appropriate actions.
