Care Team Leader
Team Leader – Care & Support (Personal Support Assistants) – North Tyneside
EveryDay, a social enterprise wholly owned by Age UK North Tyneside, is recruiting Team Leaders across North Tyneside. There is the potential for hybrid working, particularly as a Personal Support Assistant (PSA).

About the Role
The successful candidate will ensure that EveryDay delivers a consistent, high-quality service by leading and organising a team to maintain continuity of service.
You will support the Care at Home Area Manager & Coordinator in ensuring:
- The effectiveness and efficiency of Care and Support Services meet the needs of individuals, their families, and contractual obligations.
- Statutory requirements and pre-determined service delivery standards are upheld.
- Personalised, flexible support tailored to individuals, promoting independence, confidence, and social engagement as outlined in Individuals’ Service Plans.

You will have operational supervisory responsibilities for a team of PSAs, overseeing care delivery in alignment with objectives and standards while motivating the team to uphold independence, respect, and dignity for service users.
Responsibilities
- Lead, organise, and manage a team to deliver high-quality care and support.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and statutory regulations.
- Provide operational supervision, mentorship, and performance support to the team.
- Work closely with Care Area Managers and Coordinators to refine service delivery.
- Promote individual dignity, autonomy, and well-being in line with service plans.
- Address and resolve operational challenges to maintain service continuity.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Health & Social Care laws and best practices.

Requirements
✅ Qualifications:
- Health and Social Care Level 3 qualification, or equivalent in a related field.
- (A Health & Safety qualification is preferred.)
✅ Experience & Knowledge:
- Demonstrable understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2010 and its applications.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance in care services and their impact on client outcomes.
- Ability to support personalised care planning and worker autonomy.
- Experience in supervisory or team leadership roles (ideally within care or social services).
Salary
£25,334 – £26,981 per annum (pro-rata for part-time roles).
