Weekend Retainer Care Worker (Alternate Weekends)
Location: Across Lowestoft, Beccles, Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Northern Villages
Shifts
- 07:00 – 14:00 and/or
- 14:00 – 22:00 (both Saturday and Sunday)
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Weekend Retainer Care Worker to join our team on a weekend basis. This is a flexible role designed to provide support cover when required, while offering guaranteed retainer pay for your availability.
You will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

- Provide personal care
- Support with medication administration
- Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks
- Follow care plans and accurately record care delivered
- Respond to short-notice requests for support (deployment shifts)
- Maintain safeguarding standards and promote service users’ wellbeing
Pay and Benefits
- Retainer Pay: £45.50 per 8-hour shift (paid regardless of deployment)
- Deployment Pay: £14.62 per hour for any hours worked when called out
- Flexible working structure with guaranteed base earnings

Requirements
- Caring, patient, and dependable nature
- Ability to work independently and respond to short-notice deployment
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
- Previous care experience is desirable (full training can be provided)
- Must be available to work weekends
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required
