Careers Adviser
Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Careers Adviser to join our team, working across Strodes’ College and Windsor College on a permanent, term-time only basis. The successful candidate can expect to work across 39 weeks in the academic year. This role pays between I22 £26,252.93 and I25 £28,633.35 (£29,987.00 to £32,706.00 FTE) which is dependent on qualifications and experience.
Job Overview
The primary purpose of the Careers Adviser role is to deliver impartial information, advice, and guidance (IAG) to students through a range of delivery methods, including group workshops, drop-in sessions, one-to-one appointments, and online support.
Responsibilities
- Deliver impartial information, advice, and guidance (IAG) to students.
- Help students identify realistic and aspirational progression pathways.
- Support students with career planning, apprenticeships, further and higher education routes, and job opportunities.
- Play a key role in supporting the UCAS process, including applications, interviews, and student finance.
- Lead on careers-related events and activities across the College.
- Work closely with curriculum departments, the Core Studies team, and the Careers and Placements team to deliver a comprehensive programme of careers and employability initiatives.
- Support key college-wide priorities such as mainstream transition programmes, external audits and inspections (including Matrix and Ofsted), and the effective tracking and reporting of student destinations and progression outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience
- Level 6 qualification in Advice and Guidance.
- Alternatively, a Level 4 qualification in Advice and Guidance with relevant experience and a commitment to continuing professional development.
