Queen Elizabeth’s School is recruiting for a Careers Manager in a full-time permanent role starting 1 September 2026.
Salary & Conditions
- £32,061 - £36,363 per annum (Grade 9, SCP 19 – SCP 25 pay schedule pending)
- Full-time position (37 hours per week)
- Term-time role + 2 weeks
- Working hours: Typically Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm (with possible adjustments for events)
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, highly organised, and motivated Careers Manager to deliver exceptional careers guidance and coordinate all careers advice within the school. The role directly supports the Careers and Destinations Lead and the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring the school exceeds the Gatsby Benchmarks for careers education.

Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating careers advice and guidance across all year groups
- Organising and managing work experience placements for students in Years 9-11 and the Sixth Form
- Increasing student employability and reducing NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training) rates
- Supporting the raising of student aspirations through a dynamic careers curriculum
Requirements & Skills
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Supports raising student aspirations
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills
- Demonstrates resourcefulness, initiative, and strong time-management abilities

Preferred experience:
- Providing careers guidance, information, advice, and work experience access to young people
- Planning, promoting, and delivering careers-related events
- Experience with administration and data management, including Arbor MIS Data system
Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification in Careers Guidance & Development is desirable but not mandatory
- Applicants actively working toward such a qualification are also welcome
