Actual Salary £32,061 - £36,363 per annum (Grade 9, SCP 19 - SCP 25 pay award pending)

This job is Full time - 37 Hours per week, Term time + 2 weeks

It is offered on a Permanent basis

About the Role

Queen Elizabeth’s school is recruiting for a Careers Manager to join our school.

We are seeking a dynamic, highly organised, and motivated Careers Manager to deliver and coordinate exceptional careers guidance across our school.

The role reports to the Careers and Destinations Lead and the Senior Leadership Team. Together they work to deliver and coordinate all careers advice to ensure that the school meets and exceeds the Gatsby Benchmarks. This role is also responsible for coordinating Work Experience placement for students in Years 9–11 and the Sixth Form.

The role is dedicated to increasing student employability and opportunities through a dynamic curriculum, specifically aiming to support the reduction of students who are Not in Employment, Education, or Training (NEET).

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • is motivated to support the raising of student aspirations
  • has excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness, initiative and good time and priorities management

You will have a real interest in supporting students’ outcomes and destinations.

Ideally, we would like to appoint someone who has previous experience of:

  • Working with young people, providing careers IAG and work experience access support
  • Planning, promoting and delivering events
  • Administration and data management
  • Arbor MIS Data system

A relevant qualification in Careers Guidance & Development is desirable; however, we are also keen to hear from candidates who are currently working toward this qualification.

Working Days

Working days are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm - this may be subject to change according to business needs and could include attendance at relevant school events.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

The school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children.
