Carers Support Coordinator – Support Those Who Care
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our service, supporting Carers across the City of London to improve their health and wellbeing, and access tailored support that meets their needs.
The role works holistically with Carers from a range of backgrounds, and fluency in Bengali is considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Conduct home visits and community-based meetings to understand individual circumstances and care needs.
- Co-produce support plans and foster strong relationships with Carers, their families, and professionals.
- Assist Carers in completing written forms, applications, and legal documentation, including drafting letters and advocating on their behalf.
- Build on local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access to support services, including:
- Financial and benefit advice
- Housing support
- Health and safety home adaptations
- Leisure and social activities
- Develop escalation plans to prepare Carers for unforeseen challenges affecting their ability to care.
- Plan and deliver a service activity package, including:
- Coffee mornings
- Drop-in sessions
- Activities, online and face-to-face groups
- Peer support forums
- Promote the service by attending meetings and forums, and deliver training sessions to professionals and community organisations on identifying Carers.

Experience & Skills Required
Candidates should have:
- Relevant experience working with:
- Carers
- Vulnerable adults or children
- Social care, health, education, or voluntary/community sectors
- Strong communication skills to motivate and empower others.
- A practical understanding of barriers faced by Carers.
- Awareness of cultural differences and accessibility challenges.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver impactful support.
