Caretaker
Live-In Caretaker (Full Time) – Single or Couples
Stanlake Park is a historic estate nestled in the picturesque Berkshire countryside, home to one of England’s esteemed wine producers. Combining working vineyards, hospitality, weddings, and events alongside private residential areas, Stanlake Park offers a dynamic and lively environment where meticulous upkeep, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence are paramount.
We are seeking a trustworthy, proactive, and hands-on Live-In Caretaker to ensure the professional management, security, and smooth operation of our estate.
This is a full-time, stimulating role with great long-term potential for the right individual or couple. Accommodation on site is provided as part of the package.
Key Responsibilities (Caretaker Role)
- General groundskeeping and estate maintenance
- Basic repairs and preventative maintenance for buildings and outdoor areas
- Acting as a key holder and managing site security
- Conducting regular property inspections to ensure the estate is maintained to a high standard at all times
- Performing driving duties as required (estate-related travel, errands, etc.)
- Collaborating with external contractors where necessary
- Electrical or plumbing skills are essential; additional trade skills are advantageous

For Couples
We are open to applications from couples. The second position can include:
- Cleaning and housekeeping support
- Light maintenance and grounds assistance
- General ad hoc duties to contribute to the estate’s smooth operation
There’s flexibility to customise the role to suit the right candidates. Note that advanced gardening skills are not required, as a full-time gardener is already on site.
About You
You are:
- Practical, dependable, and hands-on in nature
- Trustworthy and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently and with initiative
- Proactive and solution-focused
- Mandatorily have experience in maintenance, caretaking, or estate management
- In possession of a full, clean driving licence
