Caretaker – Trinity Square, Nottingham

Salary: £26,227.50 Location: Trinity Square, Nottingham Hours: Average of 37.5 hours per week, with work across 5 days out of 7, from 8am to 8pm


About the Role

At Student Roost, we go beyond just providing rooms—we provide a home. As a Caretaker with us, you’ll oversee all aspects of building maintenance, from minor repairs to coordinating third-party contractors. You’ll ensure compliance checks are thorough while maintaining a keen eye for detail and effective reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health & Safety & Compliance Checks – Ensuring all buildings meet legal and protocol standards.
  • Reactive Maintenance Repairs – Quickly addressing building and facilities issues.
  • Grounds & Redecoration Maintenance – Upkeeping outdoor spaces and interior aesthetics.
  • Tech-Assisted Reporting – Utilising systems to streamline compliance and maintenance logs.
  • Debt Management (where applicable) – Overseeing tenant payments and financial Responsibilities.
  • Third-Party Contractor Escort – Supporting external tradespeople and ensuring smooth operations.

  • Electrical training provided; existing maintenance qualifications are a plus but not required.
  • DBS check required upon successful application.
