About The Post

We have the opportunity for a caretaker to join our team. The Facilities Management Caretaker will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring that buildings are maintained safely and securely in accordance with Health and Safety requirements. Responsibilities include:

  • Portering goods and equipment between various BMBC buildings
  • Setting up meeting rooms and events when needed
  • Conducting building walk rounds and performing basic handyman tasks within BMBC buildings as required
  • Reporting any issues to the FM Helpdesk
  • Be responsible for the general maintenance both internally and externally of the buildings ensuring it is a safe environment for employees, visitors and contractors
  • Undertake minor repairs and maintenance to premises and equipment when required in line with Health and Safety requirements
  • Carry out a number of operational duties in all weathers including litter picking, bin emptying, cleansing all areas associated to the buildings, removal of sharps, fly tipping, graffiti, human waste, snow clearance, gardening and weed killing as required.
