Caretaker/Cleaner (Estates Services Operative)

£25,878 Per Annum + Benefits | Bath

Full Time | Permanent | 37 hours per week

Your Pride. Our Spaces. Happy Communities.

At Curo, we’re committed to creating clean, safe and welcoming places that residents are proud to call home. Our estates and communal areas are the first things people see when they arrive — and we’re looking for individuals who understand how important that first impression truly is.

This practical, hands-on role places you right at the heart of our communities. Working as part of a supportive team across our Bath estates, you’ll help ensure that shared spaces are free from bulk waste and that our grounds are maintained to an excellent standard.

From removing unwanted furniture to cutting back overgrown bushes, you’ll take on a wide variety of tasks that keep our estates looking their best. Whatever the weather, you’ll play a key part in making our neighbourhoods cleaner, safer and more welcoming every single day.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Removing bulk waste items like furniture, white goods and handling fly-tipping across our estates
  • Grounds maintenance including strimming, cutting back bushes and clearing overgrown areas
  • Removing moss from pathways and maintaining access routes to keep them safe for residents
  • Cleaning communal areas including stairwells, entrances and shared outdoor spaces
  • Using power tools and equipment (pressure washers, strimmers) to maintain our green spaces
  • Performing reactive cleaning tasks to resolve specific complaints or issues
  • Carrying out minor repairs like replacing bins or installing bike racks
  • Completing paperwork and using our systems to track work and materials
  • Working comfortably with physical, practical tasks in an outdoor environment

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
