Role: Caretaker
Location: Andrew Marvel Academy
Full time: 38 hours per week
Salary: £14.04 per hour

Your new role
What you’ll do:
- To carry out the various policies and procedures associated with the operation of the facility, specifically those relating to security and access, maintenance and repair and health and safety.
- To undertake the day-to-day operation and arrange for appropriate maintenance of plant and associated equipment. To report any faults to the line manager in accordance with agreed procedures.
- To undertake the clearance of snow from all accessible areas and to grit as necessary. To litter pick in accordance with agreed procedures.
- To take delivery and arrange for the storage of materials, stores and other goods relating to the services provided by RFM.
- To carry out porterage duties as required.
- Undertake emergency cleaning duties as required during hours of occupation with the general areas including environs and grounds.
- To carry out minor or temporary repairs and maintenance tasks with the competence of the operator or report as necessary in accordance with agreed procedures.
- To ensure the delivery of services in accordance with customer service standards, policies and procedures.
- To monitor and maintain limited delegated budgets including accounting for expenditure and the handling and processing of cash, cheques and financial data.
- The jobholder may be required to undertake other duties as required provided such duties are within the competence of the employees. This will include for jobs up to and including those in the same grade. Employees are required to accept any training to facilitate the undertaking of duties for jobs up to and including their own grade. Duties may also include the supervision of staff.

What you'll need:
- Maintenance skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Relevant practical experience.
- Experience working unsupervised.
- Awareness of Health & Safety issues and the need for safe methods of working.
- Awareness of COSHH regulations.
- The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check prior to starting in the role.
