Cargo Inspector Opportunity

Due to continued organic growth, we are excited to offer an opportunity for a Cargo Inspector to join our expanding team. This is far from a typical 9-to-5 role, it’s a dynamic career that will take you to diverse locations, working both onshore and offshore, aboard vessels, at rail terminals, and within shore-based facilities. If you’re looking for a challenging and rewarding career with variety and hands-on experience across multiple environments, we encourage you to apply.

About You

We’re looking for a motivated individual with a strong willingness to learn and grow. In this role, you will independently assess both the quantity and quality of a wide range of materials, including Crude Oil, Petroleum Products, Petrochemicals, and Petroleum Gases. You’ll be hands-on in the field, conducting cargo sampling, performing detailed measurements, and completing precise calculations to deliver accurate, reliable reports to our clients. This is an opportunity to build technical expertise, take ownership of your work, and play a vital role in ensuring operational excellence.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in the petrochemical/Inspection industry is beneficial but not required
  • Hold a valid driving license
  • Willing to work unsociable and unpredictable hours
  • Be comfortable with the physical demands of the role
  • Able to work with limited supervision
  • Have good problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Ability to gain knowledge of relevant standards and perform the practical aspects of the job
  • Good communication skills
  • Be computer literate and numerate

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
