Carpenter Multi-Skilled (Permanent – Full Time)
Located: South London
Caption: £38,803 - £40,845 per annum 40 hours per week (including rotational second shift & on-call duty, 8am–6pm) Closing date: 14 July 2026
About the Role
The Carpenter Multi-Skilled role is responsible for maintaining and repairing housing stock within a social housing/authority setting. The position requires a self-reliant multi-skilled trades professional to ensure sustainable, high-quality property maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivery of repair and maintenance works across residential properties.
- Participation in shift patterns, including evenings and weekends, on a rotational basis.
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve operational targets and improve service reliability.
Company support: A company van and fuel card are provided.

Requirements
Experience
- A track record of working in social housing or a local authority environment.
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent trade qualification) + trade experience, or a similarly high standard of hands-on knowledge.
Driving
- Hold a full UK manual driving licence.
- At least one year of significant driving experience (currently parked vehicles provided for operational use).
Important: Metworks reserves the right to withdraw an offer if insurance arrangements are not secured for the company van.
