Carpenter / Multi-Trader

NOW HIRING: Carpenter / Multi-Trader

Location: Crawley & surrounding areas

We're looking for a reliable and skilled Carpenter / Multi-Trader to join our team, specialising in:

  • Locksmithing
  • Window works
  • Door installations and repairs

Role Overview

  • Install, repair & replace locks for UPVC, composite, timber & metal systems
  • Conduct non-destructive entry and multipoint lock repairs
  • Complete window & door repairs (hinges, handles, alignment & mechanisms)
  • Replace misted or broken double-glazed units
  • Provide security upgrades (anti-snap locks, cylinders, handles)
  • Respond to emergency call-outs, including occasional after-hours services
  • Perform board-ups and ensure property safety post-damage
  • Compile detailed job reports while adhering to safety and insurance standards

Key Skills & Experience

  • Fault-finding & mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of window, door & locking systems
  • Confident in using both hand and power tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail, especially when working in occupied spaces
  • Excellent customer service & communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a comparable role
  • Valid UK driving licence (essential)
  • Locksmith or glazing training/certifications (beneficial, not mandatory)
  • Physical fitness for tasks including lifting, bending, and working at heights
  • Integrity, reliability, and a security-conscious mindset
