Carpenter Multi-Trader

Multi Trader (Carpenter Bias)

Location: London – Covering Rochester, Chatham, Dartford, Gravesend, Sidcup, and Orpington (specific postcodes)

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum


About the Role

At Hyde, we’re seeking an experienced Multi Trader to join our maintenance team. If you’re a hands-on tradesperson who thrives in diverse roles and takes pride in high-quality workmanship, we’d love to hear from you.

As a Multi Trader with Hyde, you will:

  • Regularly visit homes to perform day-to-day repairs and maintenance
  • Complete tasks independently to a high standard
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and care

Responsibilities

Your core role will involve:

  • Performing multi-trade repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, and general maintenance
  • Fixing common issues such as:
    • Doors, kitchens, bathrooms
    • Leaks, walls, flooring
    • Patch plastering, tiling, painting
  • Working singly or alongside other tradesmen as needed
  • Adhering to work orders, tracking progress, and detailing materials used
  • Prioritising health and safety at all times
  • Providing a friendly, professional experience for customers in their homes

Requirements

We’re looking for a self-driven, skilled tradesperson with:

  • Proven experience across multiple trades, with a bias towards carpentry and plumbing
  • Proficiency using hand and power tools
  • The ability to work independently and manage workloads confidently
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues effectively
  • Excellent communication and a customer-service mindset
  • Physical fitness for manual, hands-on work
  • Experience in social housing is a plus
  • A valid Full UK Driver’s Licence (essential for remote locations)

Skills & Experience

Must include: ✅ Experience in multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, plastering, general maintenance) ✅ Tool proficiency (hand and power tools) ✅ Knowledge of trade techniques, materials, and safety protocols ✅ Independent working and team collaboration ✅ Physical stamina to handle labour-intensive tasks
