Case Administrator – Complex Injury – **Birmingham (Hybrid after Probation)
Department: CASUALTY (EL/PL / Complex Injury / Disease / Fraud / Motor Injury / Vehicle Hire and Damage)
About the Role
The Complex Injury team at DAC Beachcroft is seeking a Case Administrator to provide crucial admin support for lawyers handling high-value and complex injury cases on behalf of insurance clients and corporates.
With increasing demand for pre-emptive legal advice and dispute resolution, our National team—comprised of 80+ colleagues—manages all aspects of defendant litigation, ensuring clients (from leading insurers to household-name corporates) receive expert representation.
This is an ideal opportunity for: ✔ Recent graduates entering the legal sector ✔ Admin professionals seeking a role in a dynamic, growing team ✔ Those with an interest in file management or case administration
Location: Birmingham Working Arrangement:
- 5 days in Birmingham during probation
- Hybrid model after probation
Key Responsibilities
You will assist lawyers in delivering expert case management through:
- Coordinating and progressing complex caseloads, ensuring deadlines are met and cases advance proactively
- Supporting file set-up in case management software and detailed record-keeping
- Managing court summaries, CRU (Council of Manu fac To Rate Schedule) updates, and Court directions diarising
- Garnering and chasing medical records/evidence, as well as obtaining/processing payment requests
- Chasing pendency notices, settlement cheques, and liaising with courts, oppositions, third parties
- Completing legal templates for documents, preparing Counsel schedules, and other administrative support

Requirements & Skills
Essential:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an enthusiastic, client-focused approach
- Ability to work independently under moderate supervision
- Strong prioritisation and time management in a pressured environment
- Attention to high levels of detail
- IT proficiency (including case management systems and financial software if relevant)
- Good telephone manner and professionalism
- Administrative experience / file management background preferred
Preferred:
- Previous legal or complex admin experience
- Familiarity with insurance claims processes
- Experience using Council of Manu fac/Harvey systems
