About the Role

Join RBL’s Greater Manchester casework team as a Case Officer, delivering critical support, advice, and guidance to beneficiaries across the region. Your work will focus on complex issues—from health, social care, employment, and housing to statutory and financial welfare needs. Every year, RBL supports 12,000+ beneficiaries across the UK, enabling them to thrive in veteran life.

Based within a strong, supportive team focused on the Armed Forces community, your role is everything—and everyone—comes first.

    • Provide direct guidance, advice, and crisis support to beneficiaries
  • Assess needs and coordinate services:
    • Identify gaps in support, liaise with regional specialists, and facilitate access to tailored resources
  • Share insights to improve services:
    • Assist the Casework Services Manager and Head of Welfare in assessing regional benefit needs to shape future service delivery
  • Advocate and enable access:
    • Highlight additional support opportunities and assist beneficiaries in navigating them
  • Partner across sectors:
    • Develop relationships with local welfare providers, other Legion teams (especially Specialist Services, Recovery, Community Support, and bereavement), and external organisations
  • Driver and travel requirements:

    • Occasional national travel for training

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
