Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Casework Team Leader to join a high-profile public sector project on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in government casework, operational delivery, and policy-led decision-making who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Location & Contract
- Location: Hybrid (Whitehall, London), requiring 1–3 days per week on site as needed
- Contract: Until 31st March 2027
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team through coaching and mentoring (no direct line management responsibilities)
- Make evidence-based decisions in a high-volume operational environment
- Apply government policies and procedures to casework
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver departmental priorities
- Manage complex casework while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
- Support operational delivery through accurate and timely case management
- Maintain high standards of quality and professionalism

Essential Requirements
- Experience working within or closely alongside the UK Government
- Strong experience in evidence-based decision-making
- Experience in operational delivery and rules-based casework
- Knowledge of government policy and policy-led environments
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, or leading teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including intermediate Excel
