Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Casework Team Leader to join a high-profile public sector project on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in government casework, operational delivery, and policy-led decision-making who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Location & Contract

  • Location: Hybrid (Whitehall, London), requiring 1–3 days per week on site as needed
  • Contract: Until 31st March 2027

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team through coaching and mentoring (no direct line management responsibilities)
  • Make evidence-based decisions in a high-volume operational environment
  • Apply government policies and procedures to casework
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver departmental priorities
  • Manage complex casework while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
  • Support operational delivery through accurate and timely case management
  • Maintain high standards of quality and professionalism

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working within or closely alongside the UK Government
  • Strong experience in evidence-based decision-making
  • Experience in operational delivery and rules-based casework
  • Knowledge of government policy and policy-led environments
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, or leading teams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including intermediate Excel
