Caseworker, NFP PEOPLE

Caseworker Multicrime

We are seeking a Caseworker to join our multi-crime team in Wales on a part-time basis (22.5 hours per week), with a hybrid working arrangement and regular travel accruing in the Dyfed Powys area.

A virtual Open Evening will take place on Thursday 25th June, 4pm–6pm at The Metropole Hotel (Llandrindod Wells, LD1 5BB) to explore this opportunity—full details available upon application.

Position: 6793 – Caseworker (Multicrime) Location: Hybrid / Dyfed Powys, Wales Hours: 22.5 part-time (Mon–Wed, flexible to discuss at interview) Contract: Permanent Salary: £16,651.20 per annum (Full-time equivalent: £27,752.00/year) Closing Date: 13/07/2026 (may close early if sufficient applications received)


About the Role

This role involves providing exceptional support to adults, children, and young people affected by crime, ensuring they receive information, practical, and emotional assistance from both the immediate aftermath and through the criminal justice processes.

You will:

  • Deliver holistic recovery services tailored to individual needs.
  • Act as a single point of contact, assessing vulnerability, and coordinating comprehensive coping and recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with external service providers to ensure seamless support.
  • Handle sensitive needs assessments and prioritise cases without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrate empathy, professional discretion, and excellent communication skills when working with trauma survivors.

About You

To deliver successful outcomes, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Direct experience providing clear, statutory, voluntary, or community services—including practical engagement with service users, vulnerable adults, and/or families.
  • Independent work ethic: Able to prioritise tasks, manage high-pressure demands, and operate effectively under limited supervision.
  • Assessment skills: Proven ability to conduct thorough needs and risk assessments.
  • Compelling empathy: Understanding of the emotional and psychological impact of crime on victims.
