Role of Cashier
The role of Cashier focuses on processing high-value transactions, managing cash and bullion orders, supporting secure fulfilment, and maintaining regulatory compliance within a controlled financial environment. Description
- Process high-value cash, card, and bank transfer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Execute buy and sell transactions for precious metals and bullion in line with internal procedures.
- Process online orders, validate payments, and support secure fulfilment and distribution activities.
- Perform daily reconciliations of cash and stock holdings, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Complete customer due diligence (CDD) checks and support compliance with AML regulations and internal policies.
- Prepare transaction confirmations, invoices, and other supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate records, audit trails, and operational reports to support finance and compliance requirements.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service while ensuring adherence to security, regulatory, and company standards.

Profile
A Successful Cashier Should Have
- Experience in a bank, Post Office, currency exchange, bullion broker, or similar cash-handling environment.
- Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Experience processing high-value transactions and performing reconciliations.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a regulated environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transaction processing systems.
