Role: Foreign Currency Cashier

Location

Radius Park (Heathrow)

Full Time

35 hours per week

Fixed Term

until 31st December 2026

Shift Times

Flexibility expected between 9.30am and 5.30 pm Monday to Friday

Salary

£13 per hour

Order/Deal Cashiering

  • Count and balance foreign currency notes.
  • Fulfil customer orders/deals cashiering to invoices
  • Currency identification (training given).

Distribution (Sales)

  • To accurately sort and pack individual customer orders using manifests.
  • Prepare orders for despatch by packing them in packsacks (heavy lifting involved)

Tills Cashier

  • To identify, count and balance large volumes of foreign currency notes.
  • Prepare deals for customers
  • Balance the till at the end of the day.

Purchases Cashier

  • To accurately identify, check, count and balance foreign notes returned from customers.
  • Examine notes looking for counterfeits.
  • Sort notes into reusable stock, old and mutilated.
  • Data input.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Good communication skills, able to converse clearly with other team members and other sections.
  • Uses Initiative, puts forward ideas and suggestions.
  • Attention to detail, ability to concentrate in a noisy, open plan environment.
  • Able to stand for a longer period during the day

Training and development will be provided to ensure the successful candidate flourishes within their Travelex career!

Interview Process

  • Step 1 – Our Vault Operation Partner will review your application and get in touch with you if they think your experience fits the brief and conduct an initial screening call.
  • Step 2 – You’ll be invited to a face-to-face interview at the Vault to meet our vault operation partner. Here we’ll give you more insight into Travelex and the role whilst finding out a bit more about you. Given you’d be working with vast amounts of money on a regular basis they’ll also be a small numerical test too that’ll you’ll complete.
  • Step 3 – If successful we’ll reach out and offer the opportunity to join Travelex as our newest employee. If you’re unsuccessful, we’ll still reach out to you to provide detailed feedback. We owe you that much as an employer who’s dedicated your time to meet with us.
